Prophets are human, and NOT perfect

Many people try to bring down the LDS church with claims that the church cannot be true because the prophets were/are imperfect.

There was only ONE perfect person who walked on this Earth.

My friend sent me this email the other day, and I found it perfect for this very subject!  So I will share it with YOU!

Noah was a drunk
Abraham was too old
Isaac was a daydreamer
Jacob was a liar
Leah was ugly
Joseph was abused
Moses had a stuttering problem
Gideon was afraid
Samson had long hair and was a womanizer
Rahab was a prostitute
Jeremiah and Timothy were too young
David had an affair and was a murderer
Elijah was suicidal
Isaiah preached naked
Jonah ran from God
Naomi was a widow
Job went bankrupt
Peter denied Christ
The Disciples fell asleep while praying
Martha worried about everything
Mary Magdalene was…
The Samaritan woman was divorced, more than once
Zaccheus was too small
Paul was too religious
Timothy had an ulcer..AND
Lazarus was dead!

Tell us your story!

So many of you have read my conversion story, now I want to read yours!

Please share your conversion here, make it as long (or short) as you want.  To hear others stories is so inspiring whether you have always been a member or whether you are a convert (I know we are all converts 🙂  )

I can’t wait to read them!

* oh and one more thing, this is for LDS stories only, I’m sorry to restrict this post but I want to keep this subject on topic ! (thanks)

RON IS GETTING BAPTIZED!!!!!!

This Youtube was dedicated to a different person, but now I have found it and I dedicate it to RON! 🙂

I just had to make a post for Ron, he is amazing, and I am so excited for him and his family!  He will be getting baptized tommorrow, and I will so be there for him in spirit 🙂

And Ron remember, tommorrow you will be able to leave all the yucky ol sins behind, you will rise from the waters clean and new!

Ron, I just know that Heavenly Father is jumping for joy because of the decision you have made (and so am I 🙂  )

Here is a link to his blog, and anti’s are NOT welcome!  http://ronsjourney.wordpress.com/

To ALL you super awesome Mormons!!!!!!

I have had so many amazing mormons comment on my blog.  There have been so many comments that I am so behind in my reading and I have not been able to respond to even 1/4 of your comments!  I apologize, and I want each and everyone of you to know how very thankful I am!  The name of my blog is “Mormons Rock” and you have all just proven it!

I’m a bit overwhelmed (in a GOOD way) Your comments have brought me so much comfort and joy.

People can say what they wish about the people and the religion, but I know that Mormons are the kindest, most loving, most amazing people in the world!

Knowing the Gospel is true is the most amazing gift I could ever be given.   I would not trade it for all the book smarts in the world     🙂

Thank you all for comming here, thank you for your comments, thank you for sharing your stories, and thank you for going at it with Brad and EJ      🙂

(I actually feel a bit sorry for them! )

To all non Mormons out there, My purpose in my blog is to share with you what I have found.   I have peace in my heart, and a knowledge that my Father in Heaven LOVES ME!  My wish is for EVERYONE to have what I have!

So to all my Mormon friends, and to all my Non Mormon friends, I love you all SO very much!!!!!!!!

So my daughter came home from school, she said all the cool kids were doing it, and I was concerned, until she showed me the super awesome dance she learned, at recess.  She then told me that we could find the dance AND the song on youtube.

I’ve been up all night practicing.  Now that I know this sweet dance, I thought it was necessary to share this with all of you.  The version above I thought was the best because, well i’m mormon, and these boys just look so mormonish.

So watch and practice, so when your kids come home from school you can show them how radtastic YOU are 🙂  Maybe even break it out at the next church function or business meeting!

*radtasic is a word I stole from one of the comments on this youtube, so make sure you use this new word as much as possible!

Oh also this is the clean adorable version, if you click here you will see the real one and you’ll see why this version is so cute and funny!  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vum3qgoh0x4&feature=user  they even have a REAL instructional video!  So hilarious!

So I decided to go ahead and post the article that has all of you (non Mormons)  so fired up.  (I hope it is ok to post and I have not broken any copyright laws, if I have let me know and I’ll edit or remove it)  anyhow, now you can comment on it here instead on my NON related posts!  (thanks a lot Jay 🙂  )

I looked for an Official statement by the church, but I could not find one, (yet).  If anyone knows of an official statement could you PLEASE give us a link!

The Straight and narrow path

…”Straight is the gate and narrow the path that leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.” Matthew 7:14

Not everyone will accept the gospel, not everyone will take the straight and narrow path.  Although I wish everyone could have the happiness that the gospel brings and the joy that taking the straight path will bring you.

The gospel WILL be taught to all the world, it does not mean everyone will accept it, but it will be taught.

Call me crazy……..

So we tend to disagree A LOT on my blog, and it is usually just differences in opinion.

So I want to take us somewhere else for a while, somewhere new, something a bit different.

I’ll explain……While I was at Chucky cheese tonight I was asked a very interesting question.  I had invited my adorable sister missionaries and they were worried about an investigator.  They said they had no clue as to how to handle this.

So the question they posed was, is marijuana addictive and how do you over come this problem.

Now this is just MY opinion, but I don’t think marijuana is addictive, although I think it may depend on the person.  (anything can become addictive)

And if I were to be in a lot of pain or if I had cancer or something I would most certainly hope that it was an option.  I personally would rather put a natural substance in my body then a PROVEN addictive man made pill.

So they asked me “then why is it illegal and is that the ONLY reason mormons don’t use it?  “Law of the land” and such.

I really don’t know, does anyone else know?  I would say it is because of the law of the land.  But again that is just my opinion.  no facts here.   And I really don’t know why it’s illegal , but I know there are Mormons that take oxycontin which IS legal and also very bad and VERY addictive.

Does my opinion shock anyone?  I’m interested in everyones opinions, so let me know what you think and why!

(I really just want personal opinions, this is not necessarily a LDS only issue)

***** I want all who read this to understand that the things expressed here are personal opinion!

Also I want it to be clear that I am personally in favor of marijauna for medical reasons ONLY, not for recreation.  I realize it is a drug, and should only be prescribed for those who need it, by a doctor!
